RB13 winds through dense temperate rainforest in the remote Tarkine region, following old forestry access routes through towering tree ferns and ancient myrtle beech. The track features muddy sections and tight turns between massive old-growth trees, with several small creek crossings that can become treacherous after rain.
Track becomes extremely muddy and potentially impassable during winter months and after heavy rain due to poor drainage in the rainforest environment.
